
Claims Handler
As a Insurance Claims Handler, you will take full responsibility for managing a diverse portfolio of claims, focusing on Professional Indemnity, Employers’ Liability, and Public Liability. Your role will require a proactive approach in handling all aspects of the claims lifecycle, ensuring claims are brought to final settlement efficiently.
Effective time management and the ability to prioritise workloads are key in this role. You will be expected to meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of service throughout the claims process.
A deep understanding of policy wordings and their application to various claims classes is essential, particularly within the realms of Professional Indemnity, Employers’ Liability, and Public Liability insurance. Additionally, a solid working knowledge of Retail wordings is crucial for success in this position.
You will maintain strong and regular communication with key brokers, ensuring effective collaboration and fostering strong, ongoing relationships.
Experience Requirements:
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience in handling Professional Indemnity, Employers’ Liability, and Public Liability insurance claims, ideally within the London market.
Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of insurance claims processes, policy terms, and the specific requirements
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage difficult conversations and negotiate settlements effectively.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in handling complex claims and documenting all necessary details.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions and resolve issues efficiently.
Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with the regulatory landscape surrounding claims handling, including any relevant legislation and compliance requirements.
Customer Focus: Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service and manage client relationships professionally.
IT Proficiency: Comfortable using claims management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software.
