Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Binding Authority Technician to join a leading insurance brokers. You will work closely with the Delegated Authority business unit, taking ownership of the binding authority process and ensuring seamless operations.
About the Role: As a Binding Authority Technician, you’ll be at the heart of the Delegated Authority business unit. You’ll take charge of the binding authority process, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Your role will be crucial in maintaining high standards and delivering exceptional service to clients.
Key Responsibilities:

- Technical Administration: Provide accurate and effective technical support, including the preparation and processing of binding authority documentation.
- Renewal Management: Track impending renewals and provide necessary information to Account Executives to secure terms and place firm orders.
- Client Liaison: Work closely with Account Executives to gather relevant information and ensure market documentation meets client requirements.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, maintain accurate data within binder management systems, and produce key performance reports.
- Documentation: Prepare and submit London Market Insurance documentation, including LPANs and supporting documents to Xchanging.
- Quality Control: Perform quality checks on all documentation and maintain accurate placing files.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and other stakeholders.
- Bordereaux Management: Monitor and chase the receipt of all required risk, premium, and claims bordereaux from Cover holders.
- Aggregate Monitoring: Monitor premium income and aggregate exposures against binding authority limits.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve technical questions from clients, markets, credit control, claims, and the business unit.
- Team Collaboration: Attend and contribute to all Binding Authority and Technical team meetings.
- Client Onboarding: Assist with onboarding new clients and Broker of Record (BOR) transfers.
- System Familiarity: Work with systems including Atlas, DCOM, and Crystal.
Experience:
- 5 years + experience in a technical binder processing role is essential.
- Familiarity with systems including Atlas, DCOM, and Crystal.
